Gertrude Pearl Porter Steck, 79, passed away on Oct. 3, 2010 in Bountiful, UT. Pearl was born on July14,1931 in Winnemucca, NV, the seventh of eight children of Edward LeRoy Porter and Marjorie Eliza Coe Porter. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Porter Randall (Stan) and children: Kevin Porter Steck (Joanie), Randy Lowell Steck (Bonnie), Douglas Alan Steck (Mari), Jeffrey Lynn Steck (Kelly), and Brenda Steck Rhodes (Doug), 17 grand-children and 6 great grand-children. Pearl spent her childhood in Roy, Utah, lived in Spokane, Wash., and settled in Centerville. She loved gardening, reading, movies and her many LDS callings, most particularly her service as a hostess in the Joseph Smith building on Temple Square. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Centerville Park Meadow Ward, 690 North 400 West. Friends and family may call Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Interment-Roy City Cemetery.
