Pearl Stenersen Bybee

August 16, 1920 — November 7, 2011

Pearl Gertrude Stenersen Bybee returned to her Heavenly Father on Nov. 7, 2011 at the home of her Granddaughter in Erda, Utah. Born to Sander Jul Stenersen and Nettie Sorine Hanna Stenersen on August 16, 1920 in Grant Township, Woden, Iowa. Her chores were many on the family farm which included helping care for 11 other brothers and sisters. To the end of her life her strong work ethic and love of gardening beautified her yard with fruit trees, gardens and beautiful flowers. She had special talents creating many unique gifts with thread and yarn. She also enjoyed cooking and baking. During World War II she worked in instrumentation for airplanes used in the war effort at Patterson Field Ohio. There she met and married Lawrence Elmer Bybee on March 24, 1945. Following the war they moved to Uintah, Utah where they built their home and raised their 2 sons Sander & Rockwell Bybee. She was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Bybee’s Pond and later Sealed to her Husband and sons on Nov. 28, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. She loved serving in many church callings including Primary President, Relief Society Worker, Visiting teacher and Ogden Temple for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Eddie, Robert, Palmer Stenersen and sisters Inez and Vera. Survivors include her sons Sander (Dixie), Rockwell (Jeanne), brothers Norman, Maynard (Patty), Eugene, sisters Alice, Blanche (Merle) and Sharon. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Nov. 12 at 11:00 AM at the Washington Terrace East Stake Center, 4760 S. 200 E. Washington Terrace. A viewing will be held 9:45-10:45 AM prior to services on Saturday and Friday night 6:00-8:00 PM at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 1941 North Main ST. Farmington, Utah. A Special Thank You to her many friends and neighbors and her many health care workers for their special consideration, kindness and service.
