Peggi Jean Tolman

September 12, 1958 — December 12, 2015

Peg was born on September 12, 1958 in Norwalk, California and passed away December 12, 2015 at her home, surrounded by loved ones, in North Salt Lake, Utah after a short battle with breast cancer.  She was the third of six children born to Shirley Bartlett Tolman and L. Dean Tolman.  She was raised in California until she was ten years old when the family moved to Bountiful Utah, where she spent the rest of her life.  Peg had a deep appreciation for the small things in life. She enjoyed family gatherings, holidays, cooking, and especially, making salsa. Although Peg never married, nor had any children of her own, she dedicated her life to taking care of her siblings and all of her nieces and nephews.  Peg spent a lot of time at her home; always making sure it was a warm, loving place to visit. She always had something cooking and made sure no one left her house hungry. She will always be remembered by her Christmas sweatshirts, classic movies and TV shows including: Mash, The Golden Girls, Christmas Vacation, Trading Places, and Ghostbusters.  She really loved watching the Utah Jazz games, especially during the 1990's.
Peg worked for 30 years at JCPenney and the last six years as a beautician at Avalon Care Center.  Peg always enjoyed her friendships at JCPenney and especially appreciated the ones she made at Avalon.
Peg was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece Jenny Beckstrom and her brother-in-law Al Jones.  Peg is survived by her brother Rick (Linda) Tolman, sister Karla (John) Becker, sister Kim Jones, brother Gary Tolman, and sister Lisa (Gary) Wood.  She is also survived by eight nieces and five nephews.
There will be graveside services held Thursday, December 17 at 2:00 pm at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West.  In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated please send those to Rick Tolman at 2896 South 400 East, Bountiful, Utah 84010.
