Peggie Morby Rawlins, 87, peacefully passed away from this world Monday, May 30, 2005. Mom was born in McGill, Nevada on July 20, 1917 to Zenos Elmo Morby and Ida Naomi Spriggs. She was the oldest of eight children. She married Eldoris Blair Rawlins on April 20, 1935. Solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, 1963. Peggie and Dory settled in Woods Cross, Utah, with their seven children. One of their children, Ben, was born with special needs. Mom had great concern and love for these children. Mom was instrumental in developing the first South Davis County Exceptional Child Group. This was the first school for handicapped children in Davis County. She continued to work with this cause for the majority of her life. Mom was one of the first counselors in the primary for children with special needs. Mom loved her family and taking care of them was most important to her. She had great love for her friends and neighbors, and always had an open home and a listening ear. Peggie is survived by her sons, Bill, Bob Carol, daughters, Barbara Hatch Lee R, deceased, Beck Moss Darrell, and Wendy Noyes Thel. She will be missed by her 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and by her 12 great-great-grandchildren. Mom will be greeted on the other side by her husband, Dory, her sons, Ben and Blair, her grandchildren, Jami, Brad, and his sweet children, and many more loved ones who went before. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 3, 2005 at 1:00 p.m at the Bountiful 9th Ward Chapel, 585 East Center Street, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Friday morning at the church one hour prior to services.
