Peggy McBride

July 6, 1931 — May 2, 2011

Peggy Jean McBride, gracefully returned to her Heavenly Fathers care, and to the loving arms of her recently departed husband (Bob) on May 2nd, 2011 at the age of 79, with her family by her side. Peggy was born on July 6th, 1931 in San Bernardino, Ca. The daughter of Martin and Dorthella McPhie. Peggy married her eternal companion, Robert El Don McBride on April 18th, 1949, in the Mesa Arizona LDS Temple. They were married for 62 years until Bobs passing 2 weeks ago. Daily, Peggy would hear Bob ringing a bell for his care and to say I love you. Bob rang his bell one last time for her, as he stretched forth his loving hand to escort Peggy through the veil to be by his side. Beginning their new journey in complete joy and happiness, free of pain from the heavy cloak of their physical bodies, alive to dance and sing together for eternity. Peggy enjoyed reading, cooking and sewing, and visiting with friends, but her greatest joy was spending time with her loving family. She has a deep love of our Savior, and her testimony of Him was a strength to her and her family throughout her life. Peggy is survived by her 6 children, Randy McBride, Mark McBride (Sandra), Kara Lybbert (Dave), Luann Alba (Moe), Paul McBride (Shantel), Todd McBride (Lori); 25 Grandchildren and 38 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Leland McPhie and two sisters; Ivy Rae Murray and Doris Fink. As well her loving caregivers Tania Escoto and Danny Smith, whom she loved and respected as her own children. Thanks for your sweet, and compassionate care. Preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Dorthella McPhie, Her Husband, Robert El Don McBride, her sisters; Madge Linden, Clea (Linda) Parker, Grace Percy and Geraldine Williams, daughter in Law Roxie Kaye McBride and Grand Daughter Teandra McBride. A viewing will be held at the LDS Val Verda 2nd Ward on Saturday May 7th at 10:00 AM located at 3317 So. 800 West, Bountiful.
