Biography

Pete Gilvarry, 49, suffered from a stroke and passed away August 8, 2014 in Ogden, Utah. Pete was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 21, 1965 to Richard George Gilvarry and Linda Lee. Pete is survived by his wife, Carrie Ann, his mother and step-father Linda and Ignacio Cuellar, his three brothers Richard, Eddie James Clifford and Steven “Gil” and one sister, Janice, his three children Tyler, Alex, and Ashley Gilvarry, his five step-children Brysen, Taylor, and Connor Rasmussen, and Derek and Jordan Hemsley, and one granddaughter, Olivia Belle Hemsley, his “bugaboo”. He was predeceased by his father Richard Gilvarry

Pete was a great love and a wonderful father and grandfather. He adored his children with all his heart and found pride in their achievements. His humor could make an entire room rumble with laughter. Pete loved everything that was sports; football, basketball, baseball, golf, anything. He loved it all. Pete was dedicated and deeply in love with his wife Carrie, his “Sweet Angel”. He lived a full and eventful life. Pete you will always be greatly loved and missed!

A private viewing for the family will be held Wednesday evening and a service will be held in his honor Thursday August 14, 2014 at the 500 S Main Street chapel in Kaysville, UT at 11AM. He will be interred at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 1342 E 5th South, Salt Lake City, Utah.
