Phyllis Lublin Christensen
1929 ~ 2016
Phyllis Lublin Christensen was born November 6, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Blaine Lublin and Della Mae Hislop and slipped away quietly at home in Bountiful, Utah on January 23, 2016. Her sweet husband, Ray A Christensen preceded her in death on April 23, 2015 and she was eager to be at his side once more.  She is survived by her children; Gregory Ray Christensen (Sharman), Cathy Christensen Campbell (Barrie), Brent Christensen (Marlene), Janet Christensen Gleue (Jared), and Sharon Christensen. Phyllis was one of fifteen children born to her parents, and many of them have preceded her in death; Maud Marie Lublin, Constance Lublin, Chlora Mae Lublin Draxler, Blaine Lublin, Jr., Richard Dean Lublin, Lois Lublin Jenkins (William), Glen Lublin, Carol Elaine Lublin, Norman Eugene Lublin (Marcella), Helen Mar Lublin, Maureen Lublin Beagley (Kent), Lynn Lublin (Penny), Myron Owen Lublin (Sherrie), and Keith Lublin.
Phyllis was a generous, loving, and caring but very private person. She did not like attention drawn to her and in a gathering would be found doing dishes and helping others. She enjoyed water skiing, ice-skating, sledding, snorkeling, and boating. As a child she did not go anywhere without her ice skates. She was an amazing hostess and had many gatherings in her home. The neighborhood kids called her 'Momma C.' and came for popcorn and root beer. If there was ever a party, she hated to miss it.
She was a devoted mother of 5, grandmother of 24 and great-grandmother of 34 children. Her career was motherhood, and love was her best skill. Her dear husband, Ray, adored her and she was an exemplary mother, friend, sister, and mother-in-law as well. She served others in many church callings and loved her friends and neighbors dearly.  "I'm a mean Mother so you won't miss me when I'm gone" was the statement she often made but was an amazing mother and woman.
