Phyllis Snider

March 6, 1930 — December 3, 2010

Our beautiful and talented wife, mother, sister and friend, Phyllis Erma Snider, passed away on December 3 on her 59th wedding anniversary. Phyllis was born on March 6, 1930 in Manti, Utah to Wanda and Edgar Larson. She married Duane Snider in 1951 in Salt Lake City. Phyllis worked in real estate and interior design, In later years, her volunteer activities included teaching reading as a second language and working at the Davis County Food Bank. Phylliss interests were amazingly diverse. She was a talented painter, seamstress, gardener, decorator, and card sharp who appreciated the beauty in everything. She loved the Utah Jazz and attending the Unitarian Church. She read several books a week and taught her children and grandchildren to love books. In the history of grandmothers, there has never been a more amazing one. She is survived by her husband, Duane, daughter Debbie (Philip), sons Kelly (Celia), Kurt (Charlotte), and Kevin (Louise). eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. sisters Carol Wilson, Vivian VanDeventer, and brothers Kenneth and Dean Larson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 11:00 am at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, where viewings will be held on Monday, December 6 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and Tuesday just prior to the funeral from 9:45 to 10:45 am. Burial will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery. We appreciate the kindness and caring of Country Oaks Assisted Living and Summit Hospice. We will miss her beautiful smile, joyful laugh, and loving personality.
