Rachel Gallacher

Our beloved daughter and sister, Rachel Gallacher passed away on April 11, 2019, at age 37 due to complications from liver failure. She was born September 18, 1981, in Salt Lake City to Robert and Linda Gallacher and was the youngest of three children. Rachel was raised in Bountiful, Utah.  She graduated from Bountiful High School in 2000, attended Salt Lake Community College and graduated from Weber State University with a degree in Nutrition.

Rachel was a great friend with a contagious laugh and beautiful blue eyes that can never be forgotten. Rachel enjoyed clogging and playing soccer in her youth. She also loved snowboarding, was an avid Utes fan and especially loved football. She enjoyed the outdoors, visiting the family cabin and spending time with her Dad.

Rachel is survived by her Father and Step-Mother, Robert and Gayla Gallacher, her siblings Matthew (Rebecca) Gallacher, Christiana (James)  McDougal, Soupie (Brandt) Strong, Justin (Shonni) Burnside and 13 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Galbraith Gallacher, and her grandparents Cyril and Ruth Gallacher and Dean and Afton Galbraith.

We will miss Rachel greatly but are comforted knowing she is in her Mother’s arms in Heaven.  Our family would like to thank all the family and friends who have shown their love and support at this difficult time. Private services will be held for family and close friends.
