Rachel Patricia Williams Wait (1929-2011) has returned to her Father in Heaven and her parents. Pat passed away from complications due to stroke on February 10, 2011 in Bountiful, Utah. She is survived by her husband, Jack Napier Wait, their children, her brother Joseph Williams (Ann) and her sister Betty Rowland (Reid). Pat was born in Ogden, Utah on January 20, 1929 to parents Joseph Henry Williams and Harriet Lucy Farley Williams. Her father was a well-known stage actor in Salt Lake City, Utah and her mother was a respected teacher. Pat was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Frederick G. Williams, 1st Counselor to LDS Prophet Joseph Smith, was her great great grandfather. Her pioneer ancestors pulled handcarts across the plains to help establish their Zion in Salt Lake City. Pat has served valiantly in many church callings. Her favorite calling was playing the organ or piano for various meetings or special occasions. Her children remember her playing the piano for the elementary school music teacher so that they could have a music program. Pat was an accomplished musician, played tennis and loved Jazzercising with her fellow housewives in the 70s. She was married from 1957-1980 to James B. Keysor Jr. of Burbank, California. Jim was a State Assemblyman for the San Fernando Valley area of California from 1971-1979. Pat was very involved in city and state government activities. She entertained effortlessly and was happy to take part in political charitable fundraising. Pat was an accomplished painter in oils. Pat and Jim have four children; Bill Keysor (Kandace Obest), Susan Keysor Espenschied (Mark), Karen Keysor Hansen (Norman) and Julie Keysor Clyde (Brent). They have 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Pat and Jim were divorced in 1980. Pat married Jack Napier Wait of Willows, California in 1984. Pat is a beloved stepmother to Jeanette La Rue Wheable (Michael); Joy Ann Wait; Jerold Thad Wait (Nancy) and Jayson Morris Wait (DeVona). Pat has 15 step grandchildren and 12 step great grandchildren. Pat will be missed and remembered by her family and friends. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 16 at 11 am at the Mueller Park LDS Stake Center, 1800 E. Mueller Park Rd. Bountiful. There will be a viewing for family and friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Wednesday morning 9:45-10:45 am at the church prior to the services. Graveside services and burial will be that afternoon at Ogden City Cemetery.
