Radley Moon Lewis

Radley Moon Lewis, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend, passed away on February 1, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Rad was born, April 4, 1932, in Kamas, Utah to Mary Vernie Moon and Joseph Elmer Lewis. While still a young child the family later moved to Heber City where he lived until he was married.

Rad married his high school sweetheart, Nancy Lee Mangum on, August 24, 1950, in the Logan LDS Temple.  They were married for 68 years.

Rad excelled in practically every sport offered at Wasatch High School and earned his sports legacy with his all-star status.

Radley was a loyal Jazz fan and rarely missed a game.  He carried his love of sports all throughout his life which included golf, football and city league baseball and was very well known for his ‘fast pitch’ winning arm.

Rad also had a passion for gardening and was well known for his beautiful large gardens and his green thumb. 

Rad worked at HAFB for over 37 years until his retirement.  He worked as an aircraft mechanic and also a Minuteman Missile Inspector for which he achieved many accolades and awards.

Radley is survived by his six children, Randy W. (Wanda) Lewis, Lora Lewis, Michael V (Kap) Lewis, Trish (Brent) Jacobson, Sherrie (Bryan) Floyd, Jeff Lewis: 35 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren, two brothers, Brent R (Diane) Lewis, Warren (Beverly) Lewis.   He was preceded in death by his sweet wife, Nancy Lee Mangum Lewis on December 1, 2018.

Friends may visit with family at a viewing to be held Friday, February 7, 2020, from 4:30 – 6:00 pm at Russon Mortuary, 1941 N Main Street, Farmington.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 at the Heber Valley Cemetery, 680 N 550 E Heber City, Utah.

A sincere thank you to the staff and residents of the Inn on Barton Creek in Bountiful.  Rad was at home there with his dear friends and sweet “angels” that took special care of him each day as he looked forward for every opportunity to sing, dance and enjoy all types of music!
