Ralph Emery Moss, age 87, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday December 16th in the loving arms of his wife of 66 years, Shirley Moss. Ralph was born on June 4, 1928 in Woods Cross, Utah. He graduated from Davis High School and served in the Air Force. He then attended the University of Utah and spent his career primarily as an Electrician. He married the love of his life Shirley Mae Carter on September 7, 1949 in the Salt Lake Temple. They honeymooned in Mueller Park so that Ralph could play in a church softball tournament. Ralph's greatest accomplishment was his family. He has 6 children, 28 grandchildren and 41 great grandchildren. As a life-long faithful member of the Mormon church he served others valiantly in every calling including Bishop's counselor, Stake High Counselor, Branch President, and Temple worker for more than 20 years. He also served missions in Nairobi, Kenya, Oakland, CA and the Welfare Cannery. After family and Church service, hard work is his lasting legacy. He worked for 17 years at Cudahy and 21 years at Chevron Oil refinery, rising from Electrician to Refinery Maintenance Supervisor. Ralph loved softball, basketball, and later in life enjoyed playing golf with his four sons. Preceded in death by his parents Delbert and Ruth Moss, son David C. Moss and grandson Shawn B. Miller. Ralph leaves behind his wife Shirley Mae Carter Moss, brothers Donald and Mickey Moss and sisters Joyce Peterson and Linda Jarman. Children Dianne Miller (Bruce), Fred (Deon), Jim (LeeAnn), (David’s wife Karen Moss Fisher), Richard (Gina) Moss, and Kristine (Blaine) Smith, Ruth Ann Moss. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday Dec. 22nd at the Bountiful 13th Ward building 1365 N. 650 E. at 11am. Viewing before the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30am. Viewing on Monday Dec 21st at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main Bountiful, UT from 6-8pm.
