Ralph Thomas Hill Sr., beloved Husband, Son, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Companion and Friend passed away April 21, 2008 at age 90. Ralph was born July 31, 1917 to John Henry Hill and Myrtle Ardell Hendry. He attended West High School, served an honorable full time LDS mission in the Northern States under president Bryant S. Hinckley, and later served honorably as one of the ‘greatest generation’ from the beginning to the end of WWII. Ralph married his lifetime sweetheart, and light of his life, Pearl Jones, on October 4th, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He and Pearl later served together in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for 18 years. He also served with mother as host at Ledgefork Campground and enjoyed immensely the time spent there with family, relatives and friends. Father was an accomplished craftsman, carpenter, and fix-it man. He loved to sing, especially beloved Irish Ballads. All who knew Ralph felt of his genuine love and friendship. We will miss him dearly, but are comforted in knowing that he and mother are together-never to be separated again. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents John Henry Hill and Myrtle Hendry; sisters, Louise and Leah Brown Millard; brothers, Kenneth and John; and his wife Pearl. He is survived by sisters, Lila Peck Don, Norma Wilson Gerald; brother Stan LaVoy; children, Ralph Thomas, Jr. Carol, Michael John, Paul M. Lisa , Becky L. Benzon Jay; 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008 at the Bountiful LDS 3rd Ward Chapel, 51 South Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Friends and family may call Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North and Friday morning 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery. A special thanks to our dear brother, Mike, for the loving, tender and unceasing care that he provided for father over the last 4 years, since mother’s passing.
