It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Ralph Leon Reeves. On February 18, 2025, Ralph was called home by a loving Heavenly Father after suffering complications from a concussion.
Ralph was born on January 8, 1947 in Centerville, Utah and loved growing up in that city. He lived a life full of faith, hard work, and dedication to his family. He was a good man who exemplified kindness and service in all aspects of his life. Ralph's strong work ethic and his willingness to help anyone in need were hallmarks of his character. His commitment to his faith in Jesus Christ was unwavering, and he loved the gospel with all his heart. Ralph had a deep love for his family, and his greatest joy came from spending time with his loved ones.
Ralph attended Davis High School and went on to graduate from the University of Utah with a degree in Political Science. He also served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 2 years serving in the West German, Germany Mission. On November 20, 1970, Ralph was sealed for time and all eternity to his sweetheart, Kathryn, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together, they built a life full of love and memories. Their bond was unbreakable, and their shared devotion to each other and to the gospel was an inspiration to all.
Ralph and Kathryn raised six wonderful children: Jennifer, Allison Yeates (Christopher), Geoffrey (Kristen), Heather King (Brad), Andrew (Carly), and Daniel (Miriam). Ralph’s love for his children and grandchildren was immeasurable, and he was a constant source of strength, wisdom, laughter and love for them all. Ralph always made it a priority to travel to all the important events in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives, no matter the distance. He treasured every moment spent with them and was proud of the people they have become.
Throughout his life, Ralph and his family had the opportunity to live in many cities in the West and Mid-West, finally settling in Farmington, Utah. Everywhere he lived, Ralph formed strong bonds of friendship with all who knew him well.
Ralph’s legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched through his work, his service, and his unwavering devotion to the gospel and his family. He will be remembered for his humble heart, his strong character, his loving teasing and his concern for others.
Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn, and their six children, along with nineteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild as well as his brother Bruce and sister Sharon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Maxine Reeves, and his sister Pat.
