Ralph Barraclough
1927-2017
Ralph Thompson Barraclough passed away peacefully on January 6, 2017. Ralph was born on July 31, 1927 to Rowland and Johanna Barraclough and he had one older sister, Mary. He graduated from West High School and served an LDS mission in Denmark. He also served in the United States Army, serving in World War II, after his mission. Ralph was married and later divorced and he had 6 children. He was a devoted and loving father and grandfather. He had a successful career for over 45 years as a salesman. Part of his success was the ease with which he could talk to people and his wonderful sense of humor. Ralph was a faithful member of the LDS church and one of his passions was serving others. He loved to follow the University of Utah sports, tend his yard, and loved to sing. Ralph was kind, gentle, and truly a man without guile and his happiest moments were spent with his family and serving others.
Ralph was survived by his 6 children, Mark (Suzanne), Jeff (Kim), Susan (Tim), Julie (Karen), Brad (Michelle), and Ginger; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
