Ramona Malstrom Gibson passed away peacefully the morning of December 17, 2016. Ramona was born on July 1, 1929 in Murray, UT to Brother Nels and Grace Gertrude Malmstrom. She graduated from Jordon High School before going to comptometer school. Ramona married Rodney Ward Gibson an April 22, 1955. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. After marrying Rod they made their home in Bountiful, UT.
Ramona was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in various callings. Her most prized opportunities were doing genealogical research, serving in the Bountiful and Salt Lake temples, and working in the Joseph Smith Building as a hostess. Ramona was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved and supported her children and grandchildren in all of their endeavors. She took great pride in their accomplishments.
Ramona was preceded in death by her husband, Rod, on September 9, 2007, as well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by her son, Brad Gibson (Suzanne) of Ridgefield, CT, and daughter, Traci Barnett (Greg) of Alpine, UT, as well as 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2017 at the Bountiful 13th Ward chapel, 1365 North 650 East. Friends and family may call Friday, January 6th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, and Saturday morning 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment – Bountiful City Cemetery.
