Ramona Shipp Shuldberg

Bountiful, UT- Ramona Shipp Shuldberg passed away October 5, 2015. She was born May 28, 1936 in American Falls, Idaho to Vera Tyler and Albert John Shipp. She grew up on several different family farms in Rockland, Idaho where her father raised wheat and livestock. She graduated from Rockland High School in 1954. Ramona attended Nursing School in Boise Idaho and California. She returned to Idaho and completed the Registered Nursing Program at the Idaho Falls Nursing School in 1958. She married Noel Leroy Shuldberg in Rockland, ID on August 31,1958. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. They were married for 56 years. Noel proceeded her in death on March 7th of this year.
After their marriage they lived in Mud Lake, Idaho where Ramona worked at the LDS Hospital while Noel worked with his father, farming and running the John Deere Dealership. They relocated to Salt Lake City where Noel completed a degree in Electronics and Ramona worked at the LDS Hospital. After graduation they moved to Renton,Washington where Noel worked for Boeing and Ramona worked at a hospital in Seattle. They returned to Utah and bought a home in Bountiful and raised their family. Ramona worked for over 50 years in the medical field including Head Nurse of the ICU at Lakeview Hospital, Lakeview Hospital Emergency Room and many years with InstaCare.
Ramona and Noel volunteered and served several missions for Operation Smile to China, Honduras and the Philippines. They purchased a cabin in Island Park, ID which they enjoyed tremendously.
Ramona was an active member of the LDS Church where she served faithfully in many callings.
Ramona is survived by her sister Rae Spillett of Rockland, ID, brother John Shipp of Woods Cross, sons David of Bountiful, Patrick (Kelly) of Morgan, William of West Point and daughter Sheri (Tom) White of Salt Lake City, 8 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Legacy House and Lakeview Hospital for their service and compassion.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 9, 2015 at the North Canyon 7th Ward, 3350 South 100 East, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Friday morning at the church 1 hour prior to services.
