Biography

Randall Keith Drawe, born July 27, 1953 in Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, June 10, 2013 in Bountiful, Utah. Randy grew up in Alberta, Canada, California, Southern Utah, and Bountiful. He graduated from Bountiful High School in 1971 but was already learning his life’s profession long before that. He began his career as a general contractor as a teenager, cleaning up work sites, but quickly learned his trade by watching and learning from the great builders around him. At a young age he began his own contracting business and was successful in this field all his life.

Randy was a skilled craftsman, an enthusiastic cook, a clever storyteller, and an extremely hard worker. He was a kid at heart and always knew the best ways to have fun. He had a brilliant mind with a gift of language and was always spouting “Randyisms”. He was a dependable son and brother and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed in his large family.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Heinz Drawe; stepfather, Elmer Giggey; brother, David; sister, Yvonna; and baby daughter, Ashley. He is survived by his mother, Lorna Hansen Giggey Lamoreaux, West Valley; stepmother, Pat Drawe, Bountiful; sons: Spencer (Shannon), Las Vegas, Nevada; Keegan (Katey), Orem; Torey, Pocatello, Idaho; daughters: Noelle Lee (Adam), West Jordan; Chelsea Yanguez (Manuel), Lindon; Breeann Dawe (TJ), Petersburg, Alaska; brothers: Daniel (Mary), Cardston, Alberta, Canada; Mark (Amy), Hurricane, Utah; sister, Dianna Kearney (Brett), Bountiful; stepbrothers: Rick Giggey (Sharon), West Valley; Dave Allred (Teresa), Kaysville; stepsisters: Linda Babovec, Texas; Renae Medina (Dave), Midvale; many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and most importantly, ten wonderful grandchildren.
