Randy Burnell Cammans

May 13, 1956 — May 18, 2018

Randy Burnell Cammans was born on Mother's Day, May 13, 1956 at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City Utah. His Mom always said he was the best Mother’s Day gift ever!  As a young boy Randy, his parents Frank and Helen Cammans and his siblings Stephen, Christine and Rebbeca  moved to Southern California.  Randy attended Cal Poly Pomona and then served a two year mission to Japan for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  When he came home from Japan, he completed his education at Cal Poly. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in management  information systems.  While attending a church singles activity, Randy met his eternal companion Valerie Anne Petersen. They were sealed for time and all eternity two months later on November 8, 1980 in the Los Angeles Temple.  After twenty years in Southern California Randy and Valerie and their five children moved to Centennial Colorado. Randy had a very full career with several different technology companies. Randy loved his career but not as much as his family and friends.  His passions were sports, especially Colorado Rockies baseball, outdoor activities and corny jokes. He was a master at telling bear stories!  He was known for making friends with everyone along the way. No one was ever a stranger once Randy met them.
Randy Burnell Cammans passed away May 18, 2018 after a fearless four year battle with cancer.  During the days leading up to his passing he was surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Randy is preceded in death by his grandparents and a niece.  He is survived by his eternal companion Valerie Anne Petersen, his parents Frank and Helen(Lunt) Cammans of Covina CA, his siblings and their spouses, his brother Stephen (Vicki Payne) Cammans of Chino CA, his sister Christine (Ray) Duffin of Aberdeen ID, his sister Rebecca (John) Goodson of Provo UT, his children Andrea (Ethan) Turner (his favorite 1st child) of Centennial CO, Tad (Fawn Grendahl) Cammans (his favorite 2nd child) of Monroe LA, Peter (Lizet Sanchez Hernandez) Cammans (his favorite 3rd child) of Rexburg, ID, Kristin (M.
