Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother Bonnie Rae Rasmussen, 83 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 7, 2013.

Born March 21, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Raymond and Katherine Yorgensen. Married Grant J. Rasmussen in Elko, NV on Feb. 11, 1951. He preceded her in death in Sept. 2003.

She was a mother first and foremost to the 4 “K”s (Kent, Karen, Kevin & Keith). She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Always entertaining a full house for the holidays. She loved to shop for thoughtful special gifts for each child, grandchild and great grandchild. Always baking everyone’s favorite cookies and preparing a holiday buffet for all to enjoy.

She is survived by her daughter Karen (Craig) Nielson of Central Valley, son Kevin (Dana), son Keith (Marci) both of Salt Lake. Ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins. Also survived by her Aunt Jane (93) of Salt Lake City.

Also preceded in death by her son Kent, parents Raymond & Katherine, brother Trent, sisters Renae and Nancy.

Heartfelt thanks to those who provided care and special gratitude to Heidi Lewis at Rocky Mountain Hospice for her kind, gentle and loving support of our mother.
