Charles Ray Anderson passed away peacefully Thursday morning September 29, 2022. He was born in Murray, UT on April 20, 1937 to Charles and Maggie Anderson. He was the youngest of four children, his sweet sister Elaine Thomas, and two brothers Darrel and Ronald Anderson that died in infancy. He graduated from West High School where he gave a slight push from behind to Joyce McDermaid. After being pushed into her locker she dared him to walk her home and the rest is history. They were married August 5, 1955 in the Logan, UT temple and shortly thereafter Ray joined the Army. They were off to Germany where the first of their six children was born. Due to Ray's work they lived in Montana, Colorado, California and ultimately returned to Utah. Ray was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served in many callings including Bishop of the Wasatch Ward, from 1970-72. He loved his family and worked extremely hard to provide for them by running his own business, And-Pak. He could often be seen visiting others with a smile, a friendly wave and a helping hand. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and other loved ones. He is survived by his sister Elaine, children Kip and Pam Anderson, Jeff and Miyako Anderson, Linda England, Charlotte and Steve Pace, Christine and Trent Peterson and Nathan and Gina Anderson, 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren. There was a joyous reunion when he got to be reunited with his dear Joyce. He is no longer old and his parts are new again.
