Ray Clegg Gines, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away on May 23, 2015 in Salt Lake City, after spending a few days with his family close to him. He and Mom created a legacy that will last for eternity. He loved his time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Ray was born July 18, 1921, to Afton and Pryscilla Clegg in Tabiona, Utah and was raised in Woodland, Utah. After losing his father to cancer at a young age, Ray and his siblings helped his mother, Pryscilla, raise the family together. He proudly served in the military during World War II. He was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in various callings. He retired from Chevron Oil Company where he worked as an engineer for 30 years. He accomplished much in his life, but he valued his marriage to Mom the most.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Elaine; Children Bert (Johanna), Keith (Jolene), Paul (Lynette), 19 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Preceded in death; children Lee and JoAnn McNeal.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Parrish Heights Ward, 610 North Rowland Way, Centerville, Utah. Friends and family may attend a viewing Tuesday from 6-8 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, Utah, and 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to the service.
