Ray Jeronimo Archuleta 1945 – 2010
Ray was born on July 2, 1945 in LaHara, CO. to the late Jose Willie Archuleta and Mary Valdez. He was the third of 11 loving brothers and sisters. At the age of 16 he met the love of his life, Juanita Zamora, and they were married 3 years later on May 16, 1964. They were the proud parents of Ray J. Archuleta, Jr. and Jacqueline A. Archuleta (Quintana). He was the proud grandfather of Brittiny and Ray III Archuleta, RaeAnn Nagel, Ray and Riley Quintana, and great grandfather to Nevaeh Trujillo. Our Ampi left us after a long fight of being a C5 quad. He will always be remembered as a great plumber, beautiful brother and uncle, and great friend. Our daddy proved that hard work can achieve anything and change can bring out the best in all of us. He will run and jump in heaven with his mom, dad, sisters Margaret and Kathy, and brother Danny. He is survived by his truly devoted wife, son, daughter, son-in-law Ray, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, devoted sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, and friends. Ray will always be thankful to Mirna, Sue, Teresa, and Yvonne, the great nurses at the CNS and Dr. Trujillo. Best friends Leon Mahlum, Kevin Farnsworth, and Richard Law. The family would like to extend a special thanks to CNS staff, especially to Sue, Mirna, Yvonne and Teresa for all of the special attention you gave to Daddy. Thanks to all the staff and loving children at Newman Elementary for your wonderful support. Pam and Principal Craig, we love you.
