Reba Keele Zollinger

October 19, 1926 — June 29, 2015

Reba Luella Zollinger, widow of Willard Eugene Zollinger, passed away peacefully in her home on June 29, 2015, age 88.

Reba was born in Mohrland, Emery County, Utah to Hazel Elvira Peacock and William Manning Keele on October 19, 1926.  Reba was raised by her Uncle James and Aunt Ella Olsen in Emery after the death of both her parents in her early childhood.  Although she was raised by the Olsens, Reba’s eight living siblings in the Keele family stayed in close contact with her.

Reba and Gene married on May 29, 1946 and celebrated their 58th anniversary several months before he died on November 3, 2004.  They lived 22 years of their life together as an Air Force family, living in several different states, including Hawaii.  They also lived in France.

Reba worked for a time as a Clerk in the U.S. Post Office and as a member of the Dietary Staff at Lakeview Hospital.  She lived in Bountiful for almost 40 years.  Reba will be deeply missed and will be remembered for her quick wit and humor, her thoughtfulness and concern for others.

Reba is survived by her children: Jenna Vee (Dan) Grow, Richard Eugene (Diana) Zollinger, Willard Michael (Victoria) Zollinger, Nalani Faye (James) Moore, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Mehaffey, Wyatt Elsen (Chari) Zollinger, Cheryl Renee (Cliff) Carver, Max Keele (Annette) Zollinger, and Charles Manning (Jill) Zollinger; 39 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren and two on the way.  She is also survived by her younger sister Ruby Keele Burrola.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband Gene, son-in-law Clifford Carver, 4 great-grandchildren who died in infancy, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bountiful 13th Ward Chapel, 1350 North 650 East, Bountiful, Utah.  Family and friends may attend a viewing Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 10:45 a.m. at the church.  Interment- Lakeview Memorial Estates, Bountiful.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to CNS Hospice Nurse, Jocelyn, and some very special people (you know who you are), and to CNA caregivers for their service and love.  We also want to express sincere appreciation for the support and help of many friends and family.
