Reuben Roe Anderson

Reuben Roe Anderson, 85, of Bountiful Utah, passed away on May 29, 2021.

Reuben was born in Grant City, Missouri on March 5, 1936, to Reuben Rose and Opal Mona Stull Anderson, the youngest of ten children.  He graduated from High School in Colorado Springs, CO. Served in the U.S. Navy, 2 years in Pensacola, FL, and 2 years in Japan.  He later attended Barnes Business College in Denver, CO.

Reuben married Carol Jean Reitz on September 1, 1961, in Bountiful, UT and later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple; they were married 59 years.

Reuben worked as a bookkeeper in the automotive industry.  He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, square dancing, looking for wildlife on drives, and playing slow pitch softball.  He was active in his church and served in many callings.

He is survived by spouse, Carol Jean; children Holly (Richard) Blanco, Ross (Gail) Anderson, and Amy (Jay) Bagwell; sister Bettie Ann Jones; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  Preceded in death by 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 4, 2021 at Russon Bountiful Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street, Bountiful, UT.  A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at Russon Bountiful Mortuary prior to services. Interment – Bountiful City Cemetery.
