ReVae Green, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away at home on February 19, 2016, at the age of 79. ReVae is deeply loved by her family who will miss her, but know that they will again be united as a family.
ReVae was born in Duchesne, Utah on November 27, 1936 to Jessie Aral and LaPreal Moulton Clement. She was the fifth of eight brothers and sisters: Elva & Jesse (who died at birth), Golden, Asenath, LeGrand, Luanne, and Arlon. She was sealed in the Salt Lake Temple to her life long sweetheart and eternal companion John H. Green on November 2, 1956. They have four children David Green (Gayla), Donna Wilkinson, Debbie McCarrey (John), and Darin Green (Stephanie), twelve grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Theirs was a home filled will great love of family. Together they invested their time in their children. They went on many family vacations, rode motorcycles, celebrated holidays, worked, had family dinners, visited grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and had a wonderful and memorable time together.
ReVae's greatest priority in life was always her family. As her children grew older, she worked as a cook at Jenny P. Stewart Elementary School. She saved her money to help pay for major events in her children's lives such as a wedding or mission. She always generously helped her children and their families. ReVae spent many hours with her grandchildren and encouraged and supported them in their efforts to obtain education and employment skills. She was always an avid reader and often gave books to her young grandchildren. As the family grew, they always continued to gather for the Holidays, dinners, and other special occasions.
She was a faithful lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, who had a strong testimony of the Latter Day Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and tender feelings for the sacrifices made by the Joseph Smith Sr. family. In addition to her service to her family, ReVae served in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, receiving her first calling at age 15. She served in the Junior Sunday School, the Primary, the Young Women's Organization, as a missionary at the Centerville LDS Employment Center, and as a faithful visiting teacher for many years.
