Rex Robins Kerr, our loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on April 30, 2015, after spending a few precious days surrounded by his family.
Rex was born September 23, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah, a son of Nathan Henry and Isabelle Robins Kerr. He married Jean Louise Evans on September 3, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Rex and Jean are the parents of five children and raised their family in Woods Cross.
Rex was employed by Hill Air Force Base until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing with his brothers-in law, camping at Bear Lake, and supporting his grandchildren and great-grandchildren in all they were involved in. He loved and felt comforted in time spent in the temple, reading the scriptures daily, playing games, or making Jean’s candy with family, always with a word search book in his pocket.
Rex is survived by two sons, Larry (Lorie) Kerr and Gordon (Karen) Kerr; three daughters, Elaine Cook (with whom he was residing), Peggy (Mark) Earnshaw and Connie (Michael) Petersen. He is survived by 24 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, with 3 more on the way. He was preceded in death by his sweetheart, Jean Kerr, his parents, four sisters, three brothers and his daughter-in-law, Connie Kerr. His legacy is his unwavering testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which he showed in word and deed.
