Richard B. Bishop

Richard B. Bishop, "Bish" of Bountiful, Utah, passed away at the age of 80 on July 25, 2024. He was born on August 2, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Bish was a well-respected small business owner from 1962 to 1980 and later contributed significantly to the Salt Lake City School District starting in 1982 until 2005.

Bish graduated from West High and furthered his education at Weber State University. His entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to education left a lasting impact on his community.

He enjoyed road trips with his long time good friend Suzanne Adams. Talking on the phone to family and friends. 

He is survived by his daughter, Shelley Brunetti (Joseph); sons, Richard Bill Bishop (Trish) and Rodney Beau Bishop; five grandchildren, Cameron, Jeff, Ryan, Alisha, and Tyler; and five great-grandchildren, Raven, Rayne, Caius, Raylee Jo and Ellianna Rose. Bish was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Bill, his brother, Hal B Bishop, and his sister, Rosanne Bishop. 

A viewing will be held from 9:45 - 10:40 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah. Graveside services will be held following the viewing at 11:00 a.m. at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah. 

Bish's legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
