Richard Pallen Helmick, at the young age of 38, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in the early morning hours of Thursday, September 10, 2015. Richard had been confined over the last few years with extreme health issues, and will now be released to have his health restored as well as his worldly cares washed away. Richard (Reggie) was loved tremendously by his family, many friends, and as well as anyone whom he met instantly felt his love and acceptance. Reggie was a larger than life, bright, loving and very generous man. He had a gift for bringing a smile to anyone, and could elicit a giggle, or a deep laugh when needed the most. His sense of humor and ability to lighten up a room will always be remembered by those of us who were blessed and lucky enough to know and love him. Reggie had recently found extreme joy in RC vehicles. Helicopters, Monster Trucks, and Cars brought lots of smiles and excitement. Whether it be rebuilding, modifying, or just plain crashing them was his joy. Buying, tinkering and reselling vehicles brought joy as well. “Buy High, Sell Low, Make it Up in Volume” was his Motto…
“Reggie” is survived by Mother (Carol), Father (Pete), Brothers (Pete Jr., Tim (Sherri), Sisters Natalie (Jeff Morely), Stephanie (Chris Menge), and numerous loving Nieces and Nephews. Preceded in death by brother Christopher.
