December 30, 1952 — January 16, 2025

Bountiful, UT

Richard Lee Salisbury, born December 30, 1952, in Florence, Colorado, passed away peacefully on January 6, 2025, at the age of 72.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Taylor Salisbury and Wilma Fay Salisbury; his brother, Samuel Salisbury; and his son, Richard Lee Salisbury Jr.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Sandra Brown; his brothers, Tom Salisbury (Bobbie), Sudz Salisbury (Cathy); and many family members, also some good friends that called him Dickboy.

Richard led an interesting life, which he shared with his cat, Susie. He loved the Utah Jazz and had a passion for NASCAR. He spent 22 years in Oregon, enjoying fishing, crabbing, and guiding on the river he lived near. Later, he returned to Utah to be with his mother before her passing, showing his devotion to family.

The family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to his LDS ward members, the caregivers who supported Richard during his medical treatments, especially a favorite nurse named Robbin, and special individuals like Rob Vandegrift, Tyler Russon, and Bobbie Noorda, who went above and beyond to help him and brighten his days. A special thank you to his brothers Sudz and Tom, for their love, care and countless visits. We extend additional gratitude to Tom for his constant support and loyalty.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Bountiful Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West, Bountiful, Utah.

Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
