Richard (Dick) Walton Baggett Sr, 77, returned to his Heavenly Family on Wednesday, Dec 1, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by family from chronic kidney (renal) failure.

Dick was born on February 9, 1944, in Tallahassee, Florida, to Charlie Carl Baggett Sr,  and Hattie Faye Walker Baggett. He was the youngest of 5 children, with 1 brother and 3 sisters. At the age of 9 months, the family relocated from Georgia to Utah to be gathered with the Saints in Zion.

He grew up in Salt Lake City and attended West High School graduating in 1962 where he played sports, music and found his future wife Jeanette Kay Belka.

He was also a volunteer fireman, Emergency Medical Technician and one of the first paramedics for the South Davis County Fire Department.

He remained true to the faith throughout his life, serving as Young Men’s president, Sunday School president, Elder’s Quorum president, LDS Missionary at Temple Square, Stake High Council, Bishop and held many other church callings.

He was very passionate about being in the great outdoors – hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, skiing and never missed an opportunity to get away from it all.
