Richard Yeates

Richard Leroy Yeates passed away at the home of his son following complications of recent health issues, just after his 88th birthday. He was born September 24, 1935 to Genevee Fagg Yeates and Ephraim Leroy Yeates in Salt Lake City, UT. He joined the Army at age 17 where he had many adventures. He was married to Winona Mae Perkins, later divorced. Married to Irene Slack, later divorced. He enjoyed 26 years of marriage to Janet Davis Yeates before her passing in 2014.
Dad’s natural charisma was enjoyed by his family and his many friends. He particularly looked forward to morning coffee with The Boys and showing off his Fender and Gibson guitars. He will be greatly missed!
He is survived by his daughter Judy Yeates Walters (Mike), son Richard M. Yeates (Kellie), son Gregory Yeates, daughter Vanessa Yeates Wagstaff (Matt) along with many grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Farrell, brother Robert (Connie), sisters Linda and Susan.
Preceded in death by his wife Janet, daughter Sharon, sisters Margene and Martha.
It is Dad’s wish to have a private graveside service.
