Rick William Featherstone, age 40, was received into the loving arms of his Father in Heaven and Savior on Friday, February 12, 2016 at his home in Bountiful, Utah.

Rick was the beloved only son of Teresa Castolene and Bill Featherstone, born in Salt Lake City, Utah on October 14, 1975.  Rick was educated in Woods Cross, Utah; graduated from Woods Cross High School in 1993. Rick also attended BYU Idaho and Southern Utah University.  Rick was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in February 1995.  Rick served in the Phoenix, Arizona mission where he loved the people very much.  Rick married Holly A. Harris in the Logan Temple on August 6, 2005.  Although later divorced, Rick loved Holly very much.

Rick had a passion for Martial Arts, specifically Kenpo Karate.  Rick began Karate at a young age and grew to be a skilled Sensei.  He successfully competed at many tournaments and owned and operated his own studio, Stones Kenpo.  Rick was a 7th Degree Black Belt at the time of his death.  Rick also loved to be in the mountains.  Snowbird Mountain Resort, Utah and Island Park, Idaho were his favorites.  Rick enjoyed fishing and hunting with his Grandpa, bike riding and hiking.  Rick enjoyed “working man’s work” and was known for his reliability on the job.  Rick loved his family.  He particularly took great pleasure in his nieces and nephews; he loved to tease them! He was always interested in how they were and what they were doing.  Most of all, Rick loved his Savior, The Lord Jesus Christ.  He found in Him a faithful friend.  Rick was reverent and unabiding in his dedication and love for Him.

Rick is survived by many who love him: Parents, Teresa and Jeff Castolene, and William and Sheryl Featherstone.  Sister, Trisha (John) Newby, Melanie (Chris) Johnson, Cindi Dobias (Doug Farnsworth) and Kaitlynn Castolene. Nieces, Shelby (Everett) Straley, Emma, Sarah and Chloe Newby, Nephews, Carson Dobias and Tyson Farnsworth.  Grandmothers, Dortha McStay and Catherine Castolene and many uncles, aunts and cousins.  Grandparents Howard and Rose Featherstone, Robert McStay and Cousins Adam Hitesman and Russell Larsen, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah.  A viewing will be held Tuesday evening, February 16th from 6:30 to 8 p.m. and again Wednesday morning, February 17th from 9:30-10:15 a.m., followed by funeral services at 10:30 a.m.  Interment-Bountiful City Cemetery.
