Rita Jensen Christensen

Rita Jensen Christensen, 94, wife, sister, mother of 4, grandmother of 5, great-grandmother of 7, passed away peacefully at home on December 21, 2024.

She was born July 15, 1930, in Garland, Utah, to Ervin Jensen and Gladys Allred Jensen. She married her life-long love Thirl Christensen on September 22, 1949, in the Salt Lake Temple.

Rita worked as a medical assistant for several years and afterwards became a successful Real Estate agent in the Bountiful area.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thirl Christensen, her brother Merrill Jensen (his wife Marie), and her sister Beva Lynn Jensen Archibald (her husband Farrel).

She is survived by her sons Gene, Ryan, Brad (his wife Melanie) and Scott (his spouse Tony).

It is with an abundance of gratitude that the family extends its appreciation to the hospice care professionals Marcie and Lilia, who kept Rita comfortable during her transition.

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah. An evening viewing will be held from 6:00–8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main Street in Bountiful.
