Robert Barker

Robert Aubrey Barker, age 91, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2011 in Bountiful, Utah. He was born November 4, 1919 in Escalante, Utah. The son of Josiah and Adelia Allen Barker. Married Idona Smith, June 20, 1949. Sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple March 11, 1959. He was a WWII veteran. An active member of the LDS Church. He was noted for his talents as a carpenter, an aircraft specialist, and an avid gardener. Survived by 7 children: George, Robert Jr., Roger, Mike, Kathy, Lori & Ross; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Idona, his brothers and sisters, and 3 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011 at the LDS Ward Chapel, 720 East 550 North, Bountiful. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main and Friday morning 9:00 – 9:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment-Lakeview Cemetery.
