Robert Dean Bingham

Robert Dean Bingham, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully on July 2nd, 2023 in the presence of his family. 

He was born September 20, 1943 in Farr West, Utah to Wayne & Leone Bingham. He loved working the dairy farm with his four brothers constantly pranking one another. 

Bob served a Church mission in Sweden & remained faithful in the Church throughout his life. He served his Country in the Army National Guard. 

He loved reading & was a walking encyclopedia. He received two Master’s Degrees & a PhD in Education & Library Science. 

Married Sharon Bingham later divorced. Married Carol Johnston later divorced. Met his present wife, Diane Barton Bingham at a singles dance where they swept each other off their feet. 

Bob was blessed with four daughters & one son: Kari (Darin) Hurst, Marti Brooks, Tyler Bingham (Deceased), Helena (Justin) Caldwell, & Felicia (Ryan) Dubois; Stepchildren: Heidi ( Brett) Reeves, Amy (Bryan) Bodrero & Chuck (Megan) Barton.

Survived by his wife, children, twenty-four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, his brother Blaine Bingham & his furry friend, Minnie. Preceded in death by his parents Wayne & Leone Bingham, & his brothers Dave, Paul & Eddy. 

There will be a private family viewing on Thursday July 6th from 6-8pm at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful. Funeral Services will be held on Monday July 10th at 2:00pm at Russon Mortuary. 

Interment will follow at Bountiful City Cemetery.
