Bountiful Utah – Robert Lee Glines passed away on Saturday December 16, 2017. He was born to Freeman Dee Glines and Myrtle A. Glines on December 14, 1935 in Stockton California. He married Janet Jensen Glines on July 7, 1956. They were married for 61 years.
By far Bob's most wonderful work of art, beauty, and worth are his three children. Kathy Glines Wilkey (Gordon), Ken L. Glines, Kim Robin Glines Dalrymple (Scott) and their children, Jody, Tai, Chad, Andrew and Nicholas. Great Grandchildren, Kelsey, Presley, Dylin, Piper, Sailor, and Nash.
Bob created an extremely successful business, Glines Automotive. His drive was fueled by the responsibility he felt for his employees and the concern he had for their families. In return his employees loved and respected him. Bob was known in the automotive business to be honest and a very capable mechanic for 37 years, making friends with the people he did business with. Bob's moto was "Honest Repairs for Honest Prices" and he stood by those words.
Bob was affiliated with the Bountiful Jaycees for many years and enjoyed the good things they did for the community and the lifelong friendships he made along the way.
Some of Bob's favorite times were the many years of boating with family and friends, every Sunday he was on the lake. As he got older and his kids married he and his wife Janet got into golfing and loved every minute of it. Every year Bob put together an annual friends and family golf tournament that was called "who gives a shit golf tourney" and good times were had by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his Brother, James L. Glines. He is survived by his loving wife who graciously took care of him for the past 12 years Janet. His children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Marilyn Hillstead Vaughn, and Jacqueline Cooper Gunderson.
