Life threw us a “curveball” and now our quick-witted, funny, big hearted, baseball loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend has moved on to the next “Big Inning”. Robert was born in Anaheim and raised in Buena Park California. His High School years were spent in Tempe, Arizona where he formed close friendships that have lasted through many years.
Robert proudly served an honorable mission in Toronto, Canada. Following his mission he moved to Utah, where he met his wife, Kathy, when they were both singing in the Mormon Youth Symphony and Choir. They married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 24th, 1984. This August would have been their 37th Wedding Anniversary. They adopted two beautiful children, Robbie and Mattie.
Robert loved his family very much and was a wonderful husband, father and role model. He was the life of every party. People were always drawn to him because of his sense of humor and optimistic outlook on life. Even though he had many health challenges in his later years, he lived life to the fullest and left a positive impact on all who crossed his path. His legacy of laughter and love will live on forever.
We invite you to join our family in a celebration of a beautiful life well lived, this Friday, May 7th, 2021 at the Tanner Park West Pavilion in Salt Lake City at 3:00 p.m. There will be food, music and sweet memories. Please bring a side dish to share (optional) and wear your baseball t-shirts and hats!
The family would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff at Lakeview Hospital, Dr. Scott Southward, Dr. Sean Callahan and the loving, compassionate people of South Davis Home Health and Hospice. Thank you Brittany, Steve and Teresa…you will never know how much your simple acts of kindness mean to us.
We’ll see you at the next “World Series” Robert!
