Robert Franklin Smith

Robert Franklin Smith, 72, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 of natural causes.
Robert was born December 22, 1945 in Salt Lake City to Sherwin E. and Myrle E. Smith. The
family moved to Farmington in 1958. Robert attended Davis High School, where he was the
president of the FFA and graduated in 1964. He served an LDS mission in the Northern Indian
mission. He married Barbara Blanchard June 19, 1968. He provided for his family by working
as a Welder/Fitter at the Flying J Oil Refinery for over 20 years.

Robert was a devout brother, husband, father, and uncle, taking care of his family was the most
important endeavor in his life. Robert enjoyed working on the family farm, raising animals and
gardening. He had a deep passion for classical music and reading.

He is survived by his wife Barbara B Smith, his son Sean M. Smith, and his brother Dennis
R (Penny) Smith.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother and two brothers Lawrence Smith and Thayne
Smith.

A viewing will be held at Russon Mortuary, 1941 N. Main Farmington, Wednesday
October 3, 2018 from 6pm to 8pm.

Funeral Services will be held at the Farmington Rock Chapel, 272 N. Main Farmington,
Thursday October 4, 2018 at 11 am. Interment will be at Larkin Sunset Gardens 1950 E.
Dimple Dell Road 10600 S. Sandy, UT.
