Robert Lovell

Robert Lovell passed away peacefully surrounded by his family who loved him dearly on Friday, September 1st, 2017 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 75.

Robert is survived by his wife Carol, his daughters Cami, Sharilee, and Kalli, his sons Daniel and Ammon, his brothers Kenneth and David, and his sisters JoAnn and Dorothy. He is preceded in death by his son Tad, his parents Allen and Virginia, his sister Lois, and his brothers Doug, Howard, Allen, Joseph, and Thomas.

Robert was born on May 28th, 1942 in Caliente, Nevada to Allen and Virginia Lovell. He graduated in 1960 from Davis High School in Kaysville, UT and served a mission for the LDS church in Brazil. He served in the Army Reserves and the Air Force Reserves from 1964 to 1970. On March 4, 1977, he married the love of his life, Carol Ann Brown, in the Ogden Temple. Robert and Carol moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1985 where they established a home and raised their children.

Robert had a passion for missionary work, a love for people, and left an impression on everyone he met. His big smile and warm hugs brought happiness to all who knew him. Robert’s unwavering positivity and optimism were contagious. He truly was a phenomenal man who generously blessed this earth with his many gifts.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, September 8th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the LDS church building at 422 E. University Dr. in Mesa, Arizona with a public viewing the preceding evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at Meldrum Mortuary at 52 N. Macdonald, Mesa, Arizona. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Robert’s awesome life. A graveside service will be held in Utah at the Bountiful City Cemetery on Monday, September 11th at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to Meldrum Mortuary in Mesa, AZ or Russon Brothers Mortuary in Bountiful, UT.
