Biography

Beloved father, husband, grandpa, and brother , age 77, passed away peacefully in his sleep
Robert “Bob” was a very loving, hardworking, positive, tough, and gritty person. He had a true care for his family. He grew up in Clinton, UT, and moved to Nyssa, Oregon when he was 14; so his family could farm alfalfa, beets, and potatoes. He overcame several physical struggles and health troubles throughout his life; that he never complained about. He was the first Electronics Graduate from Ricks College. He was a Navigational Aid Technician in his early career in Rock Springs, Wyoming and eventually transferred to the Salt Lake City International Airport to work in the control tower. Bob would spend long periods of time in Oklahoma City, OK continuing his education as an Airways Specialist. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening, western dancing, playing the piano, cooking, teaching western dance lessons, he enjoyed boating trips to Flaming Gorge, fishing, reading, camping, going to movies, and dining out. Bob also had a private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying planes.

Bob was survived by his children James Montgomery (Tiffany), Dianna Montgomery (daughter-in-law), RobynLee Rencher (Mark), Bob Montgomery, Dale LaBelle (Marina), Donna LeBelle Waters, Laura LeBelle Ballard; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also, surviving is his brother Dean Montgomery (Eldene). He was preceded in death by his parents Leland Nathaniel Montgomery and Ethel Lucinda Stark Montgomery, his sister Shirley Montgomery, son Bryan Franz Montgomery, and his wife Marie Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 10, 2014 @ 11:00 am at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful, UT., where prior to the funeral services there will be a viewing for family and friends from 9:00-10:45 am. Interment will be at the Ogden City Cemetery 1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT.

The family would like to thank Heritage Assisted Living and Envision Hospice for all of their care and consideration during the final stages of Bob’s life. They would also, like to thank Russon Brothers for their kind and loving care.
