Robert J. Svoboda of Bountiful passed away peacefully Tuesday morning with his family by his side. Bob was born in Denver in January of 1929, after high school he served in in the Navy as a Sea Bee. He was married to the late Louise Svoboda also of Denver for 58 years raising two sons. They moved to Bountiful in 1966 where he worked as a Manufacturer’s Representative. As a family they enjoyed boating and skiing. As of late he volunteered for the Golden Years Senior Center driving for Meals-on-Wheels and ushering for the Bountiful Performing Arts Center.
Bob loved his house and yard, he was a master at woodworking building all of their furniture and his yard is an immaculate showpiece. He loved building model boats and sculpturing and he won awards for both, his attention to the finest detail was enviable. He also Loved dogs especially Golden Retrievers, The Denver Broncos and playing the organ. But his real love and passion was his family, his sons Jeff (Kathi) and Cory (Karen), Grandchildren Marshall, Laci, Jonathon and Bethany, 6 Great Grandchildren who all loved him and called him Gramps. His niece Cindi (Craig) Shields and their children, along with many other nieces and nephews.
