Robert W. Robison

February 12, 1932 — February 4, 2016

Robert W. Robison returned to his Heavenly Father on February 4, 2016, eight days before his 84th birthday.

 

Robert was born in Ogden, Utah on February 12, 1932. His father was Roland G. Robison and his mother was Elizabeth Toone Wilde.  His mother was killed in a tragic automobile accident when Robert was only 18 months old.  His father later married Thelma Loretta Moffat of Smoot, Wyoming.

 

He graduated from Ogden High School in 1950 and attended Weber State College until his enlistment in the United States Air Force in 1952.  He married Lura Louise Nichols in February 1952.  They were later divorced.  He served most of his four year tour of duty in Washington D.C., attached to the Armed Forces Security Agency as a Cryptographer.

 

After his military discharge he returned to Weber State College and graduated in 1959.  He then went to work for Mountain Bell in Ogden, Utah.  Over the next 27 years he worked for Mountain Bell at numerous jobs in Ogden, Salt Lake City, Brigham City, Denver, Colorado, Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Helena, Montana.  In 1983 he transferred back to Salt Lake City as the Operations Manager for AT&T where he worked until his retirement in 1986.

 

He married Susan Eileen Steed on February 10, 1989 in Park City, Utah.  In April 1999 they married for Time and Eternity in the Bountiful Temple. He resided in Bountiful with his wife Susan until his death.  He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints.  He served as an Ordinance Worker in the Bountiful Temple.

 

His wife Susan, five children and two step children, survive him.  Denis Mark Robison, wife Lindee, Layton.  Denise Lee Thomas, husband Robert, Centerville.  Val Keith Robison, wife Narlene, North Salt Lake.  Mitchell Dee Robison, wife Deanne, Kaysville, Zan Matthew Robison, wife Susan, Kaysville.  Step children, Alex David Jensen, wife Saudi, South Jordan.  Alicia Johnson, husband Jesse, Salt Lake City.  He had 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.  His father Roland, his mother Elizabeth, his stepmother Thelma and his brother Roland G. Jr. preceded him in death.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the Bountiful 30th Ward, 650 E. 2150 S.  A viewing will be held Monday evening from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful and Tuesday morning 9:45 – 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services.  Interment – Bountiful City Cemetery.
