Robin A. Campbell

October 24, 1947 — November 30, 2015

Robin, age 68, passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 following a 10-year battle with three types of cancer.  She was born October 24, 1947 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the only child of John R. and Sylvia P. Anderson. She grew up in the East Millcreek area where she attended Skyline High School, graduating with the Class of 1966.  She then moved on to the University of Utah where she was vice president of Lambda Delta Sigma, and a member of the yearbook staff.  She graduated with a degree in elementary education and received her Utah teaching certificate.  While at the "U" she also met and married D. John Campbell, of Bountiful, Utah.  The two were sealed together for time and eternity October 6, 1970 in the Salt Lake Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  They had recently celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.
Robin taught second grade for two years while John finished his B.A. Degree and received his commission as an officer in the Army Reserve.  The young couple then traveled to Ft. Lee, Virginia for a three-month officer school.  After returning to Utah, they started their family, and Robin's teaching career was replaced by motherhood.
Robin was the mother of four wonderful children — Kristin Snelling (Kent), John Chad (Linda),  Craig Robbins (Heidi), and Katie Biesinger (Aaron). She also had ten active grandchildren whom she adored.
It might have been her experience as an only child that made family so important to Robin. Her life revolved around family and nothing was as important to her as raising her children and mentoring her grandchildren.  While the children were growing up, she joined PTA and enlisted as a room mother so she could be closer to them at school and help with their education.  She served as PTA president at Farmington Junior High and PTA social chairman at Viewmont High School.  She also supported her children in all of their extracurricular activities — soccer, football, drama, dance and Boy Scouts.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, December 7, 2015, in the Farmington South Stake Center, 695 South 200 East in Farmington. There will be a viewing at the same location from 9:00 to 10:45 A.M. prior to services. Interment-Farmington City Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank Dr. John Ward and his staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for many months of excellent medical care and emotional support.
