Robin Butters-Laub
1959-2012
Robin Butters-Laub died July 8, 2012 after a difficult struggle with pancreatic cancer. She was born August 26, 1959 in Salt Lake City, UT to Kay Rich and Sharon Butters. She married the love of her life Kurt Allison Parker Laub in Salt Lake City, UT on August 13, 1981. She was employed by Oracle where she designed and implemented computer software. Robin was a great supporter of the Performing Arts attending the Utah Shakespearian Festival, Roger Memorial and PMT annually. She was a supporter of the Humane Society and an advocate for all four legged animals; of which she had many in her life. Robin enjoyed travel and was fortunate to have visited many foreign countries and traveled throughout the United States. Robin was an accomplished musician once playing with the Mormon Youth Symphony. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A special thanks to all her friends at Oracle who supported her with acts of kindness and words of support throughout her struggle. She was preceded in death by her father and husband. She is survived by her mother Sharon Butters, sisters Wendi Butters (Harry Lee) and Penni Butters de Haan (Paulus), nieces Kaitlin Titsworth and Jessie de Haan Edwards (Douglas) and nephew Dalton Titsworth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday July 13, 2012 at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main, Bountiful, UT. Friends and family may call Thursday, July 12, 6-8 pm and from 9:45-10:45 am prior to services. Interment at the Bountiful City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the cancer charity of your choice or the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary.
