Rod Minister

C. Rodney Minister passed away peacefully at home on May 28, 2015 at the age of 83.  He was born October 6, 1931 in Denver, Colorado to Lynette Penning and Rodney Minister.  Married Patricia Langford, January 20, 1953 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Cathedral.  Together they raised three daughters whom he adored.

He graduated from East High School and the University of Utah.  He worked in the insurance industry for over 60 years and remained continually active in the industry until his passing.  In May 2014, he received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his devoted service in the industry.

Rod always had a great sense of humor, and was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who took great pride in his family.  He is survived by his wife, Pat, three daughters:  Victoria DiPietro, Andrea Bowen (Mike), Pam Coles (Scott), nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at All Saint’s Episcopal Church, 1710 Foothill Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.  Family will greet visitors from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shriners Hospital Salt Lake City or Huntsman Cancer Foundation.
