Roger Lee Linnell

May 1, 1969 — April 19, 2015

Roger Lee Linnell was born in Bountiful, Utah to Robert D. and Lois (Athay) Linnell.
Roger grew up in Bountiful Utah and graduated from Bullard High School in Fresno California in 1987. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Akron and Cleveland Ohio. Upon returning he received a degree in information systems and technologies from Weber State.
On December 18, 1991 he married Stacey McNellis; they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Roger served in many different church callings. He was very involved in the scouting program where he built many lasting friendships.
He was employed at Bountiful City in the IT department.
Roger is survived by his wife Stacey, daughter McKenzie, sons Jason and Nathan as well as parents Robert and Lois Linnell, Sister Lori (Tarryle) Bagley, brothers Randy (Nancy) Linnell, Brad Linnell, Mike (Romy) Linnell, also Stacey's parents Rich and Bobbie McNellis, her sister Jill (Shawn) McArthur and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing on Thursday April 23 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the LDS stake center at 505 South 1000 West Layton Utah. The funeral service will be held in the same location on Friday April 24 at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing from 9:30-10:45 a.m.  Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery following the service.
