Roita Monk Lynn

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Roita Monk Lynn, age 87 of Centerville, Utah returned to her father in heaven on September 28, 2016.
Roita is greatly loved by all that know her. Her life was one of service and love.
She was born on November 22, 1928 in Cowley Wyoming to Nancy Pauline and John David Monk.
Roita was sealed to her husband Wayne in the Salt Lake City temple September 7, 1949.
To this eternal union eleven children were born. Alan, Kenneth, Curtis, Kathleen Allen, Douglas, Michael (Elaine), Debbie Randall (Fred), Judy Steiner (John), Dee, Melvin(Kristy), Renee.
Roita was actively involved in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed games, reading stories, and playing with the children. She was a fantastic cook and throughout the years several extras would show up right around dinner time and she loved to share.
Roita served for three years as Mission Mother while Wayne was presiding over the Arizona Holbrook Mission. She served in the Presidencies of Relief Society, and Primary and loved working with the cub scouts. In 2005 she was selected as Mother of the Year for Centerville but to her numerous posterity she was Mother of Every Year.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 3rd, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Centerville 19th ward chapel, 900 South 400 East, Centerville, Utah. Viewing Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 pm at Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful and Monday morning from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Internment will take place at the Centerville City Cemetery.
