Roma Rawlings

Roma Louise Smith Rawlings, our loving mom, grandma and great-grandma passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at the age of 84 in Bountiful, Utah. She was surrounded by those who loved her as she left this world and reunited with her loving husband.
Roma was born on October 21, 1927, to Ernest Carlos Smith and Lillie Laurensen in Preston, Idaho. She married Sheldon Rawlings on March 23, 1945 in Preston, Idaho and they were later sealed in the Logan Utah temple. She had 5 children and many grandchildren and great- grandchildren who adore her. She always found humor in life and loved to read and play games. She had a loving heart and was always there for the those she loved.
Roma is survived by her 4 children: Steve (Jenell), Kim (Mary), Cathy (Ray), Stacey(Karen);
20 grandchildren; and 44 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Sheldon, her daughter Diane, her grandson Coco, her brother and 4 sisters. Heartfelt thanks for the kindness and compassion shown by the staff at Avalon Care Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main where a viewing will be held prior to services from 1:15 – 1:45pm.
