Rona Joy Egan Dixon

Our beloved Mother passed away Sunday, June 4th, 2017 in Salt Lake City surrounded by her family.

Rona was born June 23rd, 1948 in Ririe, Idaho. She graduated from Rigby High School, and then went on to study at Utah State University. She married Lynn Dixon in 1969, and they made their home in Bountiful, Utah. Together, they had three children, Michael, Melissa and Jennifer.  She has five beautiful grandchildren who were the light of her world. She was always thinking of them and their needs. Rona was thoughtful, kind, and loving, always thinking of others. She often went out of her way to comfort friends and family, and she had a way of making others feel welcome and accepted. She was a wonderful woman and will be dearly missed.

She was the Ultimate Domestic Goddess and a very classy lady. Particular in everything she did, Rona took great pride in her home and her yard, both of which were always impeccable and gorgeous. She loved to travel with friends and family to warm and beautiful destinations. Her favorite vacation destination was Maui, where she went many wonderful times with her daughters, enjoying each others company on the warm tropical beaches.

She was preceded in death by her father Ronald Egan, her mother Joy Egan, her son Michael Dixon, and her sister Laina Egan. She is survived by her two daughters, Melissa Epperson (Josh), and Jenny Dixon-Sevy (Ryan); her sister, Alisa Egan; two brothers, Rick Egan (Sheila) and Michael Egan (Rochelle); and her five grandchildren.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00am at Russon Mortuary, 295 N. Main St. Bountiful UT 84010. Friends may call from 10:00 -11:00 am. Online guest book at www.russonmortuary.com.
